5 BENEFITS OF DIGITAL MARKETING

At this time, we are placed in a new environment for our businesses. We have never walked down this road before and we find ourselves having to navigate how to re-open or re-start with new ideas and strategies.

Traditional Marketing methods offer many benefits for the local business such as brand recognition and the ability to get your products or services in front of local customers.  While this can feel like the only way to get the word out, we can not ignore the power of Digital Marketing.

Whether you are wanting to reach a local area or are branching out on a national level, the best argument for the Digital Landscape is the cost-effectiveness along with the ability to really target your ideal customers.

While this is not familiar territory, we are seeing first hand that the ability to adapt and change is strong within the business environment.

New ways of working that were being mulled around our minds and waiting on the sidelines are suddenly mainstream now. And the thought ‘If it ain’t broke, don’t fix it.’ isn’t as relevant anymore.

The changes that you knew your business needed but has taken a back seat for “one day” is now upon us. Let’s talk about some of these changes, what you can do to maximize your marketing efforts, and prioritize the time to implement them…

  • Learn how to maintain and grow your Social Media presence

We all know that today more than ever every business needs a solid Social Media (SM) presence. Customers are looking for your input and your voice. They want to be loyal to your business and brand but if you’re not online sharing these thoughts, you just might be forgotten.

  • Take this time to update or revamp your outdated website

A strong and dynamic digital presence is huge right now and your website is THE home address online. Think of it as the front door to your business. You want to make it as inviting as possible, the word Welcoming comes to mind.

If your website is out of date, hasn’t been updated in years or you have ignored this part of your business, this could be the best time to give it some TLC. We know that people have more time on their hands and They Are Online. If you do nothing else this should be at the top of your list.

  • Teach and share what you know with videos

When we mention doing live videos we get one of two reactions from our customers. Either they embrace the fear and do it anyway or they don’t even want to hear the V-word.

While we know that Video Marketing is the single biggest asset you can have for your business today, actually doing it is far harder. The biggest roadblock we see is that business owners are simply self-critical and afraid of what others will think. This thinking alone can keep you from getting in front of your target market in an authentic way and leave money on the table.

What if we thought about it a little different. Creating videos and a YouTube Channel is all free along with getting the farthest reach for your time.

Everyone is scared when they first start with video, the difference is those who push through their fear and ignore the self-critical voice within are becoming the leaders in their niche.

  • Learn how to build online relationships

LinkedIn is a powerhouse in this area. Expanding your reach farther than you can imagine is the name of the game right now.

If you’re not sure how to use any of the SM platforms there are tons of videos and “how-tos” to teach what you don’t know. Not Knowing is not an excuse. Just Google How To….. whatever you need to learn and you will have more information than you can handle.

  • Brand yourself with Value

This alone really should be at the top.. How to offer value to your customers. Value simply means not “selling” your services, offering your products or talking about how you’re the best choice out there. Your customers know what you do and who you serve. They want to learn from you, they want to see what you stand for, they want to meet the real you behind the logo.

This is your time to shine not as a business owner or service provider but as a PERSON. Share your life, share your likes, share your hobbies, share what projects you’re doing, your customers are interested in your everyday life because it helps them to cope, it helps them to relate to you as a person, it helps them to remember you when they need something you offer.
